It’s 2017, and for most people, hacking + elections is quickly becoming a tired topic. But lest we forget how real the threats are, hackers at Def Con in Las Vegas showed CNN just how easy it is to compromise democratic processes.

Hackers were invited to try their hand at infiltrating the technology we rely on every election, including voting machines and a mock elections office. CNNTech’s Laurie Segall reports from Vegas, with commentary from Cambridge Global CEO Jake Braun.
