Security expert Bruce Schneier is always a great source for news in the cybersecurity and tech worlds. His newsletter this month highlighted some recent cryptocurrency thefts, chief among them a $32M heist of Ethereum.
Even with the best crypto in the world, weak computer security can still ruin the day.
Motherboard, the Vice News outfit used as Schneier’s reference source, gives some great insight into the theft trends in the cryptocurrency space and spotlights some targeted holders of cryptocurrencies. Schneier, in his wisdom, comments on the situation with the following take: “This is my concern about digital cash. The cryptography can be bulletproof, but the computer security will always be an issue.”
